CARESTREAM DRYVIEW DVE films

Carestream DRYVIEW DVE Films are innovative dry-process laser imaging media for Kodak/Carestream DryView imagers. The films deliver high grayscale resolution and high-contrast detail in images for computed radiography (CR), digital radiography (DR), CT, MRI, ultrasound, and angiography. Made up of bluishcolored polyester substrate and infrared-sensitive silver halide emulsion, DVE films produce cool blue-black tone that enhances visibility in low- and high-density areas. Each sealed cartridge contains 125 sheets and has daylight loading, making workflow easy and reducing risks of contamination

For DV 5700, 5950, 6950 manufactured after May 2015 and for DV6800, DV6850, DV8900, DV5700, DV5950, DV6950 upgraded with the latest sfw release

Carestream DRYVIEW DVE Films – Premium Laser Imaging for Unmatched Clarity

Carestream DRYVIEW DVE Films are dry-process, high-performance laser imaging films that have been created to deliver diagnostic-quality radiographic output from Carestream (Kodak) DryView laser imagers. DRYVIEW DVE films use infrared-sensitive photo thermographic technology to remove wet chemistry, reducing environmental impact and simplifying imaging workflow.

They have a blue‑tinted 7 mil (≈175 µm) polyester base, which is optimized to produce cool blue‑black images with enhanced grayscale information. DRYVIEW DVE films are color‑tuned to the DryView systems and incorporate Automatic Image Quality Control (AIQC) to ensure film density and contrast levels consistent with or without the operator's intervention.

In standard sizes—14×17\", 14×14\", 14×11\", 10×12\", and 8×10in;— DRYVIEW DVE films support a wide variety of diagnostic modalities, including CR, DR, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and angiography. Delivered as daylight-loadable 125-sheet cartridges, the films offer environmentally friendly, cost-effective handling and minimize film waste during loading.

Technical specifications and handling:

Resolution up to 508–650 ppi (
model-dependent)
Shelf life: 30 months
in unopened, 100+ years in archivable conditions under ISO
Storage (unopened): 4 °C–24 °C (39 °F–75 °F), 30%–50% RH; shield from radiation and chemicals
Handling processed film: store <25 °C, ≤50% RH in dark storage; avoid extended light exposure or high heat

Users report that they observe excellent image clarity and flat neutral tonal quality, with consistent performance run after run and long-term durabilityDRYVIEW DVE films are excellent for general radiology but aren't appropriate for uses involving mammography that require more Dmax—use DRYVIEW DVM+ when necessary for mammography."

They are ideally suited to hospitals, imaging facilities, and radiology departments with high volume (160–250 films/hour) needs, low-maintenance operation, and archival stability, and Carestream DRYVIEW DVE films also offer cost savings and diagnostic confidence.
