G138I DEVELOPER

G138i is a three-part developer that is Agfa’s standard universal developer for automatic processing in conventional systems.G138i can be used in all current automatic processors. HT, IP or RP processing, G138i always performs excellently. In order to obtain constant, reliable results, it is advised to use G138i developer in combination with G334(i) fixer.

G138i for automatic processing

G138i is a three-part developer that is Agfa’s standard universal developer for automatic processing in conventional systems. G138i yields both outstanding sensitometric and physical properties. Depending on the film type used and the throughput —average processed square meters per day— replenishment may vary from 300 to 600 ml/m².

For a wide range of use

G138i can be used in all current automatic processors. HT, IP or RP processing, G138i always performs excellently. In order to obtain constant, reliable results, it is advised to use a G138i developer in combination with the G334(i) fixer.

G138Si starter for a perfect start

It is recommended to use the G138Si starter each time you replace the developer. Adding 25 ml of G138Si starting solution per liter of replenisher will allow you to obtain images featuring optimum sensitometric characteristics. Moreover, the difference in image quality during start-up time will be minimized in that way.

Ecologically improved packaging

G138i is shipped in cartons made of 60 % recycled cardboard. Two handles at both sides of the carton facilitate handling and transport. The three parts are packed in translucent polyethylene (PE) bottles with PE ECO seals. The screw caps and the stripe at the top of the label are colored for identification purposes. Developer bottles have a red cap, except for part C, which has a transparent cap to distinguish it from part B. The colored components, however, have been reduced as much as possible and the bottles show no aluminum remnants after use. Both aspects make the bottles easily PE-recyclable. Each carton contains concentrates for 2 x 20 l of a developer.

Easy bottle handling

You can easily open the bottles using the built-in cutting edges of the cap. Simply open the cap, place it upside down on the bottle, apply a little pressure and turn the cap clockwise to break the ECO seal.

Easy automatic mixing

You can easily mix the parts using the automatic mixing units. Remove the cap, invert the bottle with the ECO seal over the seal opener and press. The seal is automatically broken and the contents can flow into the tank on the mixing unit.
Whatever the mixing procedure, automatic or manual, mixing will never result in sludge formation.

Make sure the processing room is well ventilated: air ventilation of 10 times the room volume per hour will prevent build-up of chemicals in the air.
