About AGFA MEDICAL FILMS
AGFA X-ray film for dry image printing;
Dry-print X-ray is a relatively new technology in which, in contrast to the traditional process of developing and fixing with liquid reagents (developer and fixer for X-ray films) and the so-called * wet * film, a dry process is used. A compromise was found through a combination of laser irradiation and thermal development.
That is, lasers illuminate the film, and the effect of film development is achieved due to its ideally uniform heating. With the introduction of dry printing, the need for a darkroom has disappeared. Today, several global manufacturers produce X-ray films for dry printing: Agfa, Trimax, Sony, Konica Minolta, Codonics, FujiFilm, and Carestream Health.
AGFA medical film for general radiology;
In radiology, used two types of films: 1. Green-sensitive film – used in conjunction with an intensifying green screen. Allows you to catch a slight difference between the absorption of air by tissues and radiation waves. This makes it possible to notice the slightest changes in the human body.
2. Blue-sensitive film – used in conjunction with amplifying tungsten and rare earth screens with a blue glow. Thanks to its high resolution, the film allows you to clearly see the clinical picture and exclude repeated X-rays.
